For all the Fn2 owners out there who are yearning for a nice aftermarket exhaust system.. look no further! ( lol..I think everyone apart from lukits will be satisfied enough with this :D).

Here's a pic of the final HKS exhaust in full SS glory..and YAY they made the triangle bracket in SS too instead of the prototype plastic moulding! :)

No details on prices yet. Still very limited in supply. Fingers crossed this is a sign of things to come.

LOL, too bad there's no way u can change that HKS symbol to 無限Mugen :P hrmm... would be a nice touch though..heehee... ricebox ftw :)

Reply to Mr. Red Tomato: I'm pretty sure the only reason they extended the tips out and made a round hole was so they could then place a triangle cover with the HKS symbol on it to make it look unique. If it was shorter and hidden inside then there would be no need for the triangle cover. The Miltek exhaust is the one you're after if you want to keep the stock look since they kept the same length as the stock exhaust and didn't touch the stock plastic triangle covers.

is that hard to make your own triangle covers? it will be sweet if someone actually make them and sell.

the more i look at this car the more i realise its a hunk of bits together , and never could be a real performance car unlike any "sporty" honda before it :(

PS the muffler triangle looks shocking - maybe black it out ?

lol i think they're offering two options as seen in the contrast between the one on the black fn2 and the red fn2. One is polished SS, other one is black

I don't know guys but diameter looks pretty small to me, maybe 2.25"???
if it is than performance wise it's gonna suck

It' unfortunate that any news on the FN2 has to always be met with the same regurgitated, monotonous and very repetitive snide remarks.A discussion cannot take place among fn2 owners(and others)whereby opinions and information are exchanged without "cheap shots"being fired. This HKS system topic is a perfect example!A brillant spark in a previous post mentions"Torsion Bar FTL" ....SO WHAT!?! was there an opinion or a constructive comment given ...no! nothing was mention about the HKS system.
All cars are made from a" hunk of bits"-if somebody wants a car with minimum bits I suggest finding a large rock and chiselling out a Fred Flintstone car.:)
Back on topic-the HKS system looks great however,I would still have the exhausts hidden in the triangles(as per stock) and of course the price would have to be known before anything else.

^^ everyone is entitled for an oppinon however a constructive reply would be much appricated so i agree with the post above, ruins the quality of this forum.

in term of the exhaust i think its great that they starting to have aftermarket support and the exahust doesnt look too bad! but i do agree with the statement previously said, i think its too small. alteast 2.5 for the 2lire k20 i would think

After taking a spirited ride on "reothes" FN2R I've got new found respect for this car and Honda Type R's in general. So i totally disagree with "bennjamin".

My post was more than constructive, I provided pics of it installed and what it looks like in SS.

My comment about the Torsion beam FTL will stand as it is damn poor quality for honda to use such a cheap suspension method on a car they call a type R.

DNT-CRY.

The torsion beam works a treat actually. Just because it's a more cost effective design doesn't automatically preclude the torsion beam as poor quality or "non-typeR standard". If you watched the Top Gear review, although Jeremy Clarkson had a gripe with it being slower than the EP3 typeR, it nevertheless recorded a faster time than the Golf GTI. Now you're telling me it's not a typeR just because it utilized a rear suspension setup which is more cost effective? Please give more informed comments next time instead of flaming a car which you obviously know very little about apart from jumping onto the FN2R haters bandwagon. Obviously I was also initially concerned about the archaic design of the rear suspension but after having driven it I realized just how well they have tuned the stock suspension setup. It goes to show that what works well in practice should be used over any fancy suspension setup that may look better on paper.

"The chassis has been designed to respond immediately to the driver’s command. At the front, a MacPherson strut design improves handling and reduces vibration. While at the rear, the torsion beam configuration gives sharper steering response and more stability during cornering. The result is sharp, responsive steering, stability and rigidity during cornering and maintenance of ride comfort that makes it easy to drive every day."

marketing people can and will say anything to make their product sell.
I do have respect and love for the FN2R, but still wouldn't own one.
and that HKS exhaust is nice tho!!
