HELP: EK4 exhaust correct???

Hi guys,

I need some help. The other day I had my exhaust changed cos my old one had a leak. To cut a long story short, I told my honda dealer to order a OEM EK4 exhaust cos they had initially stuffed it up and put a pee shooter on instead.

Now I know that an OEM EK4 exhaust normally has a chrome bit surrounding the tip. To me this does not look like it at all unless Honda have stopped putting that chrome on? But also the size looks smaller too.

To me it looks like a GLi or CXi muffler. I have taken a photo of a GLi muffler as a comparison (see 3rd pic)

Can people please confirm this.

OEM EK4 had a tip right? Take it off the old one and put it on the new as I'm sure it would be a separate part to order.

Yea it does have a tip, but why would that be a separate part?

Also does anyone know the size of OEM EK4 tip? Is it 2" or 2.5"???

the tip , IS a seperate part. ITs held on by a small 10mm or 12mm headed bolt.

Its called a "exhaust/muffler finisher" in the parts catalog

the tip of a EK4 muffler (and inlet + internals) is larger than the gli/cxi.

oem is pretty small its about 2".
If you had a leak why didn't you just get an aftermarket one?

You can get a chrome tip from supercheap or autobarn if you wanna save some money and not go through honda

u can get that tip in any auto shop....but why dont u buy a aftermark muffler? how much does the muffler cost?

Yeah its chrome too, supercheap looks supercheap dont go there

supercheap would be fine! wouldnt be able to tell the difference!
