Drivers side mirror only moves left and right.

hi guys, mates dc2r drivers side mirror only moves left and right, but some reason it doesnt want to move up or down. but upon pressing the buttons up and down, u can hear the mechanical sound but no action. wat could be the problem?

push your mirror in harder.. it has been dismantled from the clips behind it that hold it in.. if that doesnt work, remove mirror and examine the clips behind it.. they might be broken, in that case. buy a new mirror and replace the internals (if you cant find the same coloured mirror)
