my 2c,
ive put the 215/45/15 on a 6.5" rim, so the 215 45 will fit on, but it would prob bulge out a bit, check my 215/45/15 t1s in my trader forum thread to see a pic of how it sits on a 6.5" if it helps.

6 inch rim with 50 profile can mount 225 width. Having said that, I think anything after 215 you will not be able to use as the shoulders are starting to curve out and upwards...

lower tyre pressure you'll be right for down the strip.

215/45/15x6.5 on my eg as seen in the taleb tyres thread.

these are my daily tryes and i love em! they stick out further than the rim but not by much. adds a bit of rim protection actually

would there be heaps of tyre flex under heavy cornering using a wide tyre?

I think it should be fine if the profile is lower (maybe 40 or 45)resulting in stiffer sidewalls.
Thanks guys

Yes more lateral flex the wider tyre you go, given the same size wheel.

215/50/15 or 16 works depending on the ride height and how hard your springs are... also with that much power try a softer compound tyre or semi slick to get that little more traction but if you wanted full lock 205 would be the safest without it scrubbing

just rem guys that the fat fives is only 6" in width.
I don't think anything beyond a 215 would be advisable
