Injector - thats d part that is stopping the injector to go into the plug.

Other than that all seems fine ....

In situations like these, what can be done?

You could try and chop the lil green knob off. There's other things there that will prevent it from being flipped around and put in the wrong way, so actually removing the hump will be okay. That's the cheapest and best solution i have, just take your time with it so as not to crack the plug.

The injectors are OBD1. I would do a proper job, buy OBD1 connectors, cut off the existing ones and solder on the new ones.

You can get OBD1 connectors off Jdm-yard or Toda.

hmm i doubt it would make a huge diff if i just took d lil bit off d injector ...

the current has to pass, thats it ...

Matching connectors fit appropriatley to your injectors.

Its not just it mate. Yes, current passes through it, but it needs to stay on too. Different clip, vibrating engine. Nice mix for it to fall off.

but those injectors are held in by a clip, on the harness side, so as long as it slides over and the clip is there. it will stay put.

Yep, fellas in the states do it all the time. Not being a sheep about it, but if your going for a more economical solution, ghetto that plug. Easier either way, it'll save you soldering the connectors on if you choose to buy the obd1 types.

Chuck them in without doing anything else?

Yep, will be nice and rich.

They are a different clip arrangement. I know this is done, but it does not make it right. You know me. I like to do things proper. Hes asked for opinions, this is mine.

Deano's right get the proper clips for it.
I had to change my obd2 clips for some obd1 clips.
THe clips cost me all up i think about $10 (new) & you just soldier them in
You wouldn't want a clip to fall off while your boosting the thing. *kabommmmmbbbbb* there goes a piston

Fo55il
15-05-2008, 09:52 PM
hmm nah
theres no way the clip would come off

destrukshn

that plug just slides on and off, and the clip is the part that holds it.
as long as he doesn't **** with that clip, it should be good.
just have to make sure it's on.
lol.

Fo55il
15-05-2008, 09:55 PM

+ maybe ill do sum other shit to reinforce it

destrukshn
15-05-2008, 09:56 PM
but i just don't understand why, because, that's the want honda have designed it, as long as you don't **** that part it should be okay.

nah not off ebay, off another website.

fiveomotorsports.com i think

hmm

shattered cause i did the plugs n shaved d injector a bit but now, i got another probelm;
the injector does not fit in the fuel rail properly. its too big for the rail.
so i am going to customise the rails, bore them a bit.
any1 done this?

Might want to take it to a machine shop to do it. It'll leak fuel if its not seated properly. Won't cost you much, plus its hella safe compared to DIY. This is probably one thing you don't wanna ghetto fab lol
