warped rotors...this happens from heating up your brakes, and then sitting at the lights with your foot on the brake pedal...the caliper clamps the rotor and squishes them out of shape as they cool down...

does that mean i ll have to get new rotors?? or have them reconditioned?

some people say that you can half fix it heat them up in some twistys with lots of hard braking, and the action of them passing through the calipers while they are clamping the heated rotors sorta makes them even (ish) again. Otherwise you could just view this as a damn good excuse to get some nice slotted replacements :D

If it's not badly warped... it can be machined flat again... I think it costs around 40 a disc....

there isnt any obvious sound...i ll have to double check with that tmr... but if it happens to be wheel bearings... is that gonna cost a fortune?

sounds like warped rotors, does it get worse as the rotors heat up ?

if it were bearings, it would happen all the time, where as the original post says it happens when braking..

take it to somewhere that machines discs, ask them to check them and machine them if they need it. if they can't machine them, but some new rotors ?

you guys think dba or OEM is better ?

OEM is always better but comes at a cost. DBA are quite affordable and as close to OEM as possible. MEasure your rotors first as minimum thickness is 19mm and they could possibly be salvigable if your trying to save money and also not compromise safety.

hey dr.. out of genuine curiosity.. could you explain why oem would be better than a performance upgrade rotor??.. Just interested as i will likely need new rotors soon...
