Hi guys,

Firstly, apologies if this has been covered before but I've spent 45 min searching and can't find the answer:

What model oil filter should I be using?

Of all the 'reviews' and reccomendations I've seen on oil no-one has seemed to mention Motul's 4100 Turbolight? References seem to be only to 8100? I used it on my old Galant VR4. It was so good I used it after I forged the motor so I'm wondering if there's any reason it shouldn't be used on the Euro?

Thanks in advance

Dan

ill make this easy.

Go to a Honda dealer , go to the spares section.
Ask the person for 1 x container of FEO oil , and a oil filter to suit your car.

Thats it.

no one says you shouldnt use it, maybe they just havent recommended.
atm i am running motul 4100 turbolight makes car rev really easily now and smoother.

oil filter just have a peek inside and see if you can grab the oil filter part no. otherwise call honda dealer and give details of what car you have and get details and price.

Otherwise go to motorstore and ask for oil filter for your recommended car.

Turbolight is good,i think it's a semi not a full synthetic.Just use 5W30 or 5W40 grade. As for oil filter go to Honda spares and ask for one to suit Euro

Best oil filter = Honda OEM.
As for oil, most of us prever 8100 over 4100 because 8100 is a full synthetic, while 4100 is a semi. But nothing wrong with 4100 as most of the Euro owners don't drive hard enough to make full use of the benefits of 8100. As Tony said, you can use 0w-30, 5w-30, 10w-30, 0w-40, 5w-40 or 10w-40.

As above use the OEM filter.:thumbsup:i use Elf Excellium SM 5W30 $55 for 5 ltrs. It's a full synthetic.
