Guys i just had a fren trying to sell me a sub and amp by rockford fosgate the sub is a T112D4 wifout enclosure and the amp is a T8004 4 channel for about 850 bucks...but the sub is used, is it worth it?

thts wat i am not sure.....would it cost me a lot to fix it if it is??? cause i am getting it at a low price so if it wont cost me much to fix it then i would buy it off him.

he told me it have not been overpowered or under powered..so the coils are not damaged....i guess there shdnt be any problem wif the amp....or do i need to know anything basic about how it will be spoilt normally? so i can test it out?

wats the difference between t112d4 and t112d2. i compared them and it shows 2 ohm x 2 and 4 ohm x 2...wats the difference and wat it means?

u sure? but they are subs....wat to do wif 2 channel and 4 channel???

basically it tells you wat impedence the subs voice coils are.. get the one that bestmatches your amps lowest capable load so you can the most potential out of both..

so if an amp that has this
Rated Power
continuous power
50W x 4 @ 4-Ohms RMS
100W x 4 @ 2-Ohms RMS
200W x 4 @ 1-Ohm RMS
200W x 2 @ 4-Ohms bridged RMS
400W x 2 @ 2-Ohms bridged RMS

which of these 2 are more suitable with this amp???

T112D2 Impedance 2-Ohm x 2
T112D4 Impedance 4-Ohm x 2

And i am thinking about leaving some channels for the front speakers....

you'd want the dvc 4ohm (or a SVC 2ohm one), so the t112d4 model

but mainly cus my comps still screwed like you know, and now phils lappy is screwed.. so i been stuck using the net thru the ps3.

try not to waste your time/money getting 2nd hand sub's
of course they're thrashed!!!!
who would buy a sub and not thrash it???
oooh, here's my sub's i have them there for looks, i never turn them up.
also when you buy a sub, you're supposed to run it in for about 20 hours at half volume, the only way you can guarantee that you have this..... is to to it yourself. And you can't do this if it's 2nd hand
