Transmission Click Noise

I own an 08 civic (automatic) and currently done around 6,000 km. I noticed since the first day of ownership the transmission makes a disturbing "click" noise from P to D or from P to R during "cold start up". I have reported this to the dealer and they told me that this is normal as the gears are just being intitiated. I was told the Accord does the same and is even louder than this so it's really nothing to worry about.

Are any of you civic owners experiencing the same issue....?

Yes... there already was a thread on this topic. Most people have it.. and if they say they don't they just haven't paid enough attention to it.

i think the noise goes after awhile.. when the gears wear in.. or maybe after awhile.. u just dont really realise the noise anymore.. but nevertheless.. it happens in both the jazz and the civic we have..

yeh, I got it checked out during my 10k service and the guy there said it was normal.

oh well, nothing you can do about it..
