Hey guys,

A while ago i went to open my boot with the boot lever and nothing happened. I've never used the key and now even the key won't open it.

When i lift the boot lever thingy, it feels like its not making contact onto anything... it just clicks! i've crawled into the boot and started taking out the panels but the main centre panel wraps around the metal lock on the boot so i cant pull it out.

Any one ever had this problem? how do i fix it?

Cheers

Sounds like the cable has come out of it's place.I would get in there, you should be able to pop the lock when your there, then look for the cable and put it back into position.

sounds about right... just how do i pop the lock? (where is it located?) and where would the disconnected cable be?

It will be right in the middle of the boot,if you get a screw driver, there's a U shaped latch in it's side that swings on a hinge.Just try and pry it sideways,it may need to go some distance. It will be easier to find the cable once the boot is open. You will probably have to take the boot trim (plastic covering) off if the cable has fallen down into the boot.If your lucky it hasn't,you can grab it through the hole where the lock is.I just had this happen in my civic but I couldn't close the boot.I couldn't work it out,so I took it to my local mechanic, fixed it in 1 minute. The cable wasn't in the right position. Can be a bit tricky. If you can't get after a while just take it to your local mechanic,he will fix it quickly I'm sure.
