Hey guys.. my gf clutch died...

What would be the best option for her and whats the difference between oem and aftermarket?

Is it worth paying the extra for OEM? or is an aftermarket clutch good enough? if so what after market brands do you reccomend..

just go aftermarket, same shit.

Pilot bearing = Spigot bearing correct? :o

You can get a Daikin/Exedy oem replacement for around 350-400bux. I suspect it's cheaper than an OEM replacement, and are the same thing.

get an aftermarket, Daikin/Exedy, they make most of the OEM ones also.
I know the ITR & civic uses them.

Food for thought. Honda does not manufacture their own clutches. I think they put the Honda part number sticker on a Daikin clutch.

You can reuse your oem one most of the time. Get your fly wheel and pressure plate machined back, you can ask to get clamping rate brought up while its out as well and then just select whatever friction disk you want, whether it be brass button, kevlar or organic material. And most clutch places can get hold of honda oem friction disk cause they are just daikin/excedy anyway.

In brisbane i use a clutch place called nicks (NPC), they do clutches for all types from motorsport to hvy machinery. It ends up a fraction of the price of a new kit cause you reuse your parts.
