Hey guys,

Got a mate who is stripping his skyline for parts pretty much because it's not driveable anymore (after having too much fun i guess lol).
Anyways, he said he'll sell his stock turbo to me for $150 (mate's rates, plus there's nothing wrong with it).
So here's the thought: since it's a cheap price to pay for a turbo, would it work in my car (95' Integra GSi) firstly, and
secondly what other things would i need to strengthen or change in the engine bay?
Also, is there anything else i can use from the Skyline?

Thanks guys. Looking forward to some help!

Pat

you could get the BOV, intercooler & maybe dump pipe. Just depends on what your mate has. Have a read of some of the other builds

it's a completely stock R-33.
With the other builds i've found that it's all custom turbos so big power stuff, whereas this is a stocky which isn't as powerful as the others

you need to a new ecu or remap your current ecu, you need to do zorst, your injectors will probably need to be changed, your fuel pump, you will need a custome manifold for your turbo, intercooler pipes, you will need oil and water lines for the turbo and a lot more stuff. just becouse you got the turbo for next to nothing it will still cost you heaps to make it fit and work right on your car.

The only thing really useful is the turbo. They are a nice stock-internal turbo for any honda engine. Everything else off the skyline is pretty much useless.

and get the dump pipe.. you might need the dump pipe housing to do yours

You need to spend money to fabricate the manifold and intake pipe, plus buy an intercooler if you decide to use one. Then you have the issue of getting your ecu tuned, so factor in price for a tunable ECU and tuning as well.

it's gonna be massive costs
it's not a simple bolt on job
