I have noticed alot of talk about mugen and toda headers. Not much attention has been given to spoon or 5zigen header. I have searched 6 to 7 threads most of it covering only toda. Guess thats the mainstream header everyone is getting.

I have a friend selling a spoon 4-2-1 header (2piece) for $400. I was tempted to get the 5zigen headers for $680 at first. But i think the 2nd hand spoon was too good to let it go by.

So comparing the 2 headers, which is better?

1) Performance (power)
2) Clearance (which sits lower and by how much)
3) Quality (welds etc..)

We already know the goodness of Mugen and Toda so please leave those 2 brands out of the topic...we all know that they have good gains and no clearance issues.

Thanks:thumbsup:

no the spoon 4-2-1 is a great header. I'd rate it over the 5zigen one.
The 4-2-1 also has good clearance. Its only the 4-1 that has clearance issues.

Ah, alright. Finally someone is speaking. Anyone knows the difference between the 2pc 4-2-1 and the 1pc 4-2-1? Like www.nengun.com has 2 different spoon 4-2-1 for sale. I am not too sure about the difference.

Got the 4-2-1 header bolted onto my car already..along with a test pipe. Initial drive feels that the car revs more freely all the way to the red line. Needs to go for a dyno IMO. Will post up more stuff then.
