I thought that EG,EK and DC2 are all interchangeable

^ afaik they are
front and rear i believe
maybe you just have the bar the wrong way around so the holes don't match up
picture would help

the OEM front strut brace would be interchangeable because it uses different holes/mounting point to the brand name ones

the brand name braces mount on the actual suspension pillar bolts, where the OEM ones have their own spot slightly higher up

i just figured out that it mount on either side above the suspension mounts, now on an ek the holes are covered by pieces of metal so how do i mount it coz i dont got mounting hardware. do i need nuts and bolts

EDIT - pic removed. question - rephase your question. FRONT strut or REAR ?

if front, his what it should look like when finished installed, but with the cusco one -

the muigen one in the pic above is mounted on the honda mounting points...

other brands like cusco may mount on the bolts below, the bolts that are the top points of the suspension

Maybe EK1 don't have the bolts because no oem chassis brace like EK4??

the saint is correct. EK1 mounting points for the CHASSIS brace are not drilled and filled in with a backing plate. it is easily drilled.
a cusco strut brace most likely connects onto the suspension strut bolts. (in reference to phil saying the brace was too short. too short when you try to line it up to the chassis holes? im pretty sure it should fit by bolting onto the top of the struts, not onto the chassis like the stock OEM ek4/dc2 brace.

my ej8 doesnt have mounting points for oem honda chassis braces.

note i say chassis brace and not strut brace,

yeh, people interchange both terms so its really hard to tell what theyre talking about unless they specify it bolts onto the strut or not or with a pic.

i had it wrong, it is a chassis brace not a strut brace.when i bought it he said it was a strut brace. thanks for all the answers and help. found out what size hardware i need and all that so am right to go when i get new suspension.
