Hi, the noises in my civic (braking and bushings) are getting worse now and today my hand brake made a high pitched squele and the car slid forward a tad much when i put it on (while parking on a hill). I want to get this looked at and fixed ASAP, any suggestions on a particular good mechanic/place for me to take my civic too? Im in Vermont south (near nunawading and box hill etc.)
thnx.

Cheap and good = Carnegie Mufflers and Brake in Carnegie - Speak to Dominic, he's an old friend of mine...
Your hand brake cable is probably just loose, it's easy to tighten it up again with a spanner.
