yer first i was getting weird screeching noises, while i was braking, then i realise it happens aswell while im turning. Im guessing its my cv joints on my eg. Well whats yours 2 c's guys? n if they r my cv joints how much u rkn it'll cost 2 replace dem? this is also on a b16a engine.

Best way to test to see if its your cv joints is to turn the car while the steering is at a full lock, if your still hear the noise then it looks like the cv joints are on their way out

Does it change with speed?

Checked brake pads and oddities stuck in backing plate?

CV's dont screech!

could it be your fan belt thats causing the noise. or maybe someting to do with your transmission in regards to the bearings.. does the screeching have a grinding sound to it as well?

dnt think it is my tranmission, coz i jus got a b16a put into my car like 2 days ago, n i had the problem b4 with my d series. doubt its any thing engine wise.

stick your head out of the window and try to notice where the noise comes from..

sounds like metal grinding of discs., so guessing its the brakes.

jack the front of the car up. put the car into first, and just the wheels roll. turn from left to right, and apply the brakes gently

see if that makes a noise. have somebody listen to see if they can hear where its coming from

from my experience i would say it is brake problem.. my eg last time had problem with the rotor.. the rotor was not even...so u need to bring it somewhere to grind it even!!!

i had this problem last month and got it check by mech, found out is my right hand side inner brake pad that was causing it... only left meat as thick as an A4
