Sup,

I just picked up a recaro replica.. so much for universal rails (don't seem to fit)

When i try to line the stock rail up with the holes on the side of the seat, only one lines up.

Recon it's possible to just drill another hole below the factory hole and bolt in the standard seat rail with a nut and bolt. (This way i can use the seatbelt clip too)

I presume it would be safe as it's just the same as the standard rails, just with new holes.

Also the seat is using standard rails so no need for engineers cert?

Cheers

Ill post pics tomoro if you are clueless.

Justin. To be honest its slightly unsafe still BUT it will work. Just make sure you put 4+ bolts. My ex car supposedly only had 2 bolts holding the recaros in and i had no idea =\ i thought i only needed new rails. If i had got in an accident I could have flown out the window :thumbdwn:

Apart from that I dont see why it wont work. Just make sure the chair is SECURE i.e. doesnt shake

if you have an accident with a newly drilled hole your insurance may not pay up.
Also may make it very hard to engineer
I'd adjust the seats to fit the factory points.
