It seems that it is no longer safe to park in a quiet street in a small country town, either that or this particular female driver had something against Honda's.
Add to that I always stay with the car just in case, but in this case it didn't help, as i was sitting on the Left Hand Front guard with my feet on the footpath. The end result was i finished up about 12 feet away unable to move, not a good situation after having 6 previous spinal surgeries. Most damage seems to have been done by a tow bar, The radiator fans are hard up against the exhaust. Although the damage is basically superficial, my concern is the Auto transmission as the car was pushed backwards about 8 or 9 feet while in park. For this reason I have decided to trade the car as soon as it is repaired.
On a side note it will be interesting to see if 2 identical cars can return the same fuel consumption figures as those of you who have seen my previous posts on
this subject will have noticed my unbelievable fuel usage. As i am considering fitting 17" wheels with 225/45x17 tyres on the next car can anyone advise if the offset on the euro accord is similar to the FD1 Civic.

oh, sorry to hear your story here, I hope ur car can return to normal soon. From another side, it seems FD is easy to damage by Holden.

1st of all are you ok?
Did she hit the accelerator instead of the brake? some people shouldn't have licenses. she must have really gunned it to push your car back so far no wonder if sustained so much damage. fingers crossed it will be fixed quickly so you can trade it in.

You'd be surprised how easily the FD can take damage..
Body wise, it isn't strong at all. With my accident the guy was going @ 20km/h when he rear ended me and still smashed my rear bumper

As for me, i was taken to Gladstone hospital initially, then by road to Rockhampton, then RFDS to Brisbane. To answer the other question, the Dunnydore was parked in front of me, then i remember her wheel spinning in reverse, she then had a second attempt. Rear B/bar and boot lid need to be replaces as well.

Hope you recover soon dude. I did read your post abt the fuel usage awhile back, in fact i printed out to compare it with my car and others. All the best!

someone told me that,
apparently all or most honda cars these days are all "pedestrian friendly" meaning they break easily.

The car has been accessed and is in the panel shop for repairs. I have been told that all damage is superficial and the only metal parts damaged are the upper and lower radiator supports. Considering most of the damage was caused by a tow bar i believe it stood up to the impact reasonably well. However, there is still a big question mark on the Auto trans as the car was pushed backwards 7 or 8 ft while in park. It is therefore not a matter of if there is internal damamage, but more a case of how much.
Like everyone's mentioned, main thing is you're alright. Feel sorry for your poor car. Hopefully things sort themselves out soon!

Glad your alright. If your worry about the transmission, maybe it would be better off trading it for a new one for your piece of mind. Btw is that a lightforce driving lights?

Sorry to hear that, hope you recover dude.
Hondas are designed to reduce impact force therefore it crumples easily.
late models Honda are so much stronger than the popular early models ie dc2 eg, ek. While the car will crumple to protect you and lessen the shock to its occupants, the cabin/survival cell stays a lot more intact than earlier models.
Here is a FD2R someone crash tested in HK a few mths back, driver walked away with a stiff neck after flipping it on a flyover exit.

and here's another one from HK over a year or two ago, an EK4 sedan hit a pole around a bend and became an instant front cut. Driver and passengers perished.

That is a completely different situation, the car was parked with no one inside. Just goes to show a quiet street in a country town is not a safe place to park with some dumb female driver who obviously won her licence in a raffle.

I have now added a car bra to try and reduce stone chips as much as possible. It was a little difficult to get 1 fabricated to fit in conjunction with the driving lights, but the end result is very neat, although a little awkward to fit.
