Should I get a mate to spray my eyelids?

Just wondering what people here thought of spraying eyelids for the FD1 (Civic 2006 onwards). Got quoted $50 for full spray and everything (black colour) which seemed a bit exp for something so small; so was considering getting a mate to help out although I'm not sure if there will be much (noticeable?) quality difference between professional and not. Any thoughts?

theres actually quite a difference sometimes
as if its a bodgey job,
you'll see ripples once painted.

i reckon $50 to spray the pair is alright

you have to prepare the surface right, before you even spray anything on it. little dust there, it will destroy the finished surface.

$50 is a alright price.
for a proper job that is.

You could get your mate to do it tho.

just sand it down, clean it up real good.
put a few coats in and ur set!
will cost u <$50 easy and will be a good DIY job.
u'll look at ur eyelids and go "i did those :)"

1 thing though, make sure u get the right colour LOL look at ur colour codes.
some places can make the paint for u matched to ur car's colour and its a spray can too :P

depends which eyelids you have. Theres a few out in the market. If ur getting the ones that just run along the top and the side (looks like the letter L), i think its not worth it.
