Hi, just found a 93 civic eg, and i'm not sure about the engine, could any1 tell is it a B16a1 or B16a2? And how to tell its a eg4 or eg5?

As usually the eg has SOHC, but this one comes with DOHC, what model is it? is it rare?

Thanks.

Its an eg5, a Si.
Kinda rare these days in certain areas and better than a VTi in the handling department imo :D

That engine would be a d16a8 (DOHC non-vtec engine) found in an EG Si, which would be an EG5, these are pretty common.

Hope that helps

D16a8

these are pretty common.

yes fairly common cars, yet it is getting harder and harder to find spares for d16a8's. i had a mate calling wrecker yards recently and they either didn't have them or they wanted like $1500 for them coz they know they're hard to find

sorry to be off topic but were these in da9 integras?

i think they were in the shape before the da9. i've only seen b16a and b18b in da9's

if they did come standard in any da9's they'd be VERY rare
