Hey guys i just installed the strut brace into the DA (i bought it off a guy who bouggt it from america so im sure it was for the acura integra DA) but anyways here goes......
The brakets fit on the sides, but wen i go to put the bar on it touches the top where the throttle body is (as shown in pictures below)i also put a lil space under each bolt for it to sorta sit alil higher...

Its all connected and bolted on to the car so im just wondering if it is safe to drive it pushing down on the part that it is pushing down on.....do you think i should get a different one that doesnt touch the engine or what?

use some washes but be sure to have enough thread left on your shocks... this will space it high enough to clear the intake manifold.. having it rest on the strut like that is no good.. your motor moves when u accelerate or brake.. and you will either break off the idle valve or damage your intake manifold..

well if i put washers down, will it affect the struts or will it be fine?

depends on what brand you got
i removed the dash pot (the thing that it is touching) and also had to shave a part of my TB...

i wouldnt let it rub because eventually it will rub through the metal

See how on my Cusco it's been compressed around that area.
Although mine has room anyway but you get the idea.

No.Removing material will weaken it.
Just use a big bench vice. It's only alloy so it's soft.
But make sure you put something flat and long against the top side so you only compress the lower part like my pic.

hmmmmm good idea man, might sorta crack it though?

Not likely. If you wanted you could slightly warm it up with an oxy torch but probably not needed.
Any muffler shop or workshop could do it.
I would do it for you but I don't have a vice...

hey mate remove the part i have circled. All this does is keep the revs up between gear changes. There is not much difference without it. I did this to my da9 when i had it. If you need any more help just pm me

i thought that recognised when air was flowing through the CAI?

i thought that recognised when air was flowing through the CAI?

yes it uses the air pressure from the induction to slow down the deceleration rate. Not really required as a b18a isn't really a performance motor

so if i take it off...wen i accelerate and take my foot off the accelerator it wont rev down as slow as normal if u no wat i mean....like the revs will go down straight away?

so i bashed the **** outta the bottom of the strut yesterday and squished it up a lil (as it was hollow on the in side) and took the washers off and it doesnt touch the engine anymore :) although now the top side has a few dents and scratches etc:(, but the noise keeps persisting!
