Eg handles onto an EF

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anybody has placed some EG handles on an EF civic as I have the handles and just need to know how far the customising has to go? I think the ends of the hole need to be cut a couple of mill, and the top and bottom need to be patched up to hold the shorter handles. Does the mechanisms match up as they both push a bar down, will i need to rework the connections?
