Hey guys,

Time is due for a major service on my car and was looking at getting some new spark plugs, what are you guys using and what do you recommend? oh and rough pricing if you can remember...

Thanks!

I always use the NGK range.

Bosch used to be good plugs, but as they are no longer made in Germany, the quality in recent years has dropped, which has lead to their range of spark plugs deteriorating much more rapidly over a time frame as short as 3 months.

However, their new range of plugs are supposed to be quite good, however, for simplicity sake, I'm going to continue running with the NGK's - if it ain't broke don't fix it?

i have never used anything but NGK plugs. never had any problems. you said its time to change them due to a major service? im quite sure mine get changed every 10k km with the standard service (except the 5000km oil change)

Every 10k??? Wow didnt know that, being N/A... with my 350hp track 180sx needed changing every 10k as it chewed through em, didnt think the plugs needed changing so often being a stock n/a hmmmm, interesting...

Will get me a set of NGK anyways.

Thanks guys

AdN might be using the regular copper NGKs ($16 for a set of 4). If he is, those should be changed every 10,000kms like he says. I think S2ks come with platinum (60,000km) or iridium (100,000km) plugs, so they don't need to be changed that often. What is the stock plug part number?

Stock plugs on the S2k are Platinum type: PFR7G-11S

should be good for 100,000kms depending on your driving conditions but doesn't hurt to change them earlier say around 60,000-90,000

nah sold my teg about a month ago had the s2k for past month.
how did you know i had a teg?

edit: but you are right was the teg that got the 10k km plug changes. should i only be using the iridium with the s2k?

oh and i just noticed my profile still says integra hahaha ill change that now.
