ive got a greddy bolt-on,

was wondering what would happen if i installed my injectors (without a tune) which are:

bosch 440cc injectors (42#) at 3 bar pressure for high output engines.

would this do any damage or just run rich?
planning on gettin it tuned on friday but was going to install injectors 2moro.

have to drive to the tuners.

Ok so i got d rail bored n chucked in my old injectors ghetto styles and took it to the tuners where it was tuned with the bigger injectors.

Don't do it man

you need to setup the % difference in the e-manage for them to run correctly

CC + CC =

Heres my setup but as I'm not connected the values are blank

So it goes 240cc + 440cc = bla bla

It will run but don't chance it.

Just get your tuner to install em when he tunes it next time...

Take like 2 minutes

i doubt it will run at all..............
best bet is to keep stock ecu and stock injectors ifd you really need to drive it around and keep it off boost and under 3000rpm

well either i gete a spare fuel rail, or change mine and then drive to tuner the next day,ot aggressively.

you will flood the engine when you give it abit.

You'll be lucky to start it.

Just think this. Almost double the fuel all round.

As above, better off driving it with stock injectors and drive very light. If you really wanna drive with your hazzard lights on

P.S if your worried about not having the injectors in, i'm sure you could install them outside his shop if you don't wanna pay him to do it.

they dun fit into the rail, so the rail needs to be bored out.

if i bore it then i cant have my stock injectors in, to drive it around.

so looks liek i dun havea choice but to buy a fuel rail or tow it, might as well just buy the stupid rail i guess. 120$ from the wreckers. farkin lol

Man. Do u understand just how many 440-550cc injectors are out there that fit factory rails and factory wireing harnesses. Seriously, sell the POS bosch units and get something else. RC, Duetchwerks, lucas etc etc.

Oh and your plan will not work, you car MAY start but it will flood out as soon as u give it gas. If u want to run them, get an emanage cable, download the greddy map and upload it to your car. change th injector correction and yes, u will be able to drive it to ur tuner. I did this. The car wont be super smooth, but u can drive it for as long as u want without an issue.

its cool, i got another rail, i bought an engine for spare parts ages ago off a oh member and its at my mates, the rail still on it. so im just gon go get my rail bored now.

well read then. WHAT IS WITH SOO MANY PEOPLE DRIVING UNTUNED TURBOS

i know u said u r planning on driving it to the tuners, but without even a street tuned base map its pretty risky. install the injectors, hire a trailer for the day, tow the car to the tuner.

i wouldnt even be driving it with the stock injectors with no tuning. but thats just me.

not everyone can afford to do all of that.

well why are u saying its sitting without a tune. it does have a tune. the tune is built in to go with the kit. mind u the more u change in the kit the more the tune is out. BUT it will still have a base map to handle a boosted civic.

if you leave stock injectors and stock ecu.u can drive the car,,, with light throtle and stay off boost, you can get it to the tuner and change the injectors and ecu there

Or if your a super tight arse, do a dummy run on changing the injectors at home so you know you can do it, them put the std ones back in.
Book your car in for a tune & change the injectors at the shop in the car park.
Just be sure to get there x many hours or minutes before.
That is the time t takes you to do it.

look at ur title. it states ur driving with larger injectors WITHOUT a tune fark...

ur first post states u want to drive it to the tuner TO GET IT TUNED.

but from ur whinging im guessing u have got a PREVIOUS TUNE done without the injectors and now u want to put the injectors in and ur asking if you need to get it RE TUNED?

dont get shitty just becuase ur not clear with ur question.

but if it has already been tuned for boost... it will be ok to drive to the tuner but yes it will need a RE TUNE.
