I'm looking at buying a euro. Just wondering if there are any differences between the older and the newer euros?

to name a few...
-Grill is different
-reverse lights in the rear are tinted on the 06+ models
-front n rear bumper bars is slightly wider on the 06+ models
-interior has some changes including steering wheel, speedo cluster (I think thats what its called)
-has adder features and trip computer ( mine is 06 lux)
-nicer rims and upgrade to the 17"

thats all i could think of atm...

oh and IMO get the 06+ interior looks much beta than the 03-05 models.... interior wise is for one... oh n i like to add the parking lights at the front are slightly different... i think it looks abit bluey compared to the 03-05. I know all this cos i have had both... i had a black 03 wen they first came out and now i got a silver 06. I like the black interior more... the black with beige is just too much maintainence.
hope this helps

It really depends on how much you have to spend I think. There were only minor upgrades throughout the years (there really wasn't much to improve on!)

06+ Boxier face lift, new dash dial style design, trip computer, larger stock wheel, new wheel pattern, full size spare wheel, chrome H on steering, shiney red hazard light button, chrome grill, SAT nav option, different interior/exterior colour options, park light cover pattern, foglight fittings, centralised light.

03-05 had rounder body which in my opinion looked better, but if you want option wise prob go 06-on, had its individual maplights at front and rear.

Hope this helps.

I'd sell mine but then i only recently modded it and all.

Apart from whats mentioned above the 06~ models have a strengthened rods and crank.. The whole front bar is different from the 2 models.

But as a whole drive wise I don't think there is much difference. I've driven both models and yea nothing you can feel different.

Yeh totally forgot about that.

I was also told/heard that the suspension was slightly harder on the older models than the newer 06-on.

Really? I couldn't feel any difference...

Maybe different, but couldn't notice coz the 04 model I drove is older and the sussy a bit worn down more

From 05 onwards (I think, 06 for sure ...) the spare tyre was changed to full size from space saver (which is a good thing IMHO).

06 onwards the door open alarm which comes on when they ignition key is in NEVER stops. Seems minor but is a pain for when cleaning or washing the car.

Facelift euro have upgrade brake pads, some changes in the center console, euro style wipers too...

Come to/join the euro cruise to check out or talk to euro owners.

Yea, 05 and up for spare..

Never new the sussy was revised.. Doesn't matter I'm sure most of us have changed or planning to change the sussy anyways..

The older Euros (2004) are lower than the newer ones. and i think starting from 2007 they changed the interior a bit. 2006 model don't use space saver tyres. Also the best looking rims so far are from the 2006 model euro lux.

are you sure? might be because stock wheels ended up being 17" compared to older models.

What i meant was overall the car is lower, not necessarily just the suspension setup. But your probably right, it could just be the fact that the newer models have 17" rims compared with the 16".

I acctually prefer a space saver then a full spare....

What you putting in that boot of yours ? Does that mean more room without the full spare ?

The idea of a full spare especially full alloy in the boot won me over.
