gday guys

i've just bought a keyless power door lock kit for my 88 integra

i've installed both the actuators in place, both locking and unlocking fine with the key, but now i'm having trouble with the wiring

how do you route the wires through the door, and through the grommet thing?

where would i mount the unit?

how do i get a wire from inside the car, through the firewall, into the engine bay?

u need to disconnect the rubber grommet stuff connecting both the door and the car front side panel. Its easier to route the wire from inside the car then to the door.. as for getting the wire to the engine bay.. u can use the grommet already in the firewall. when i installed my fogs, i route the wire through the grommet in the firewall used by the horn.

hmm.. i didn't think of disconnecting the grommet from the door.. i'll give that a shot
