Hey asking for some advice here,

my front bumper has paint peeling from it because of little ripples. should i respray it at my uncles panel beater for $250 ? (family discount, this also includes sanding down the bottom lip of it as well.

Or should i buy a new front bumper overall ? how much would the mugen or euro R bumpers brand new cost ? if i was to choose down this path ?

Trade price to paint a bar is approx $300.00

That includes paint, r&r & labour.

If your uncles a pannel beater get his thoughts, if you need to replace the bar or just re paint.

$250 is a good price, if you have seen the quality of work and your happy with it, go for it!

hmm okay, yeah my uncles a panel beater, he said its nothing serious. But like all of car enthusiasts ive got an OCD with my car it has to be perfect, no scratches and has to be clean.

well thanks for the quick advice guys i'll try and drop it down to $200 if its possible with him =P

Ask him to put more flex agent into the spray paint so you don't get rippling in the future. Also, new bumpers that you buy are usually unpainted. So unless your bumper has been gouged or has a hole in it, just respray.

New bumpers will costs heaps more to get painted and installed. I'd go the respray. I've had mine resprayed twice now (each side). $250 is cheaper than normal for the entire bar as mine was $300-$350 mates rates for 1/2 a bar and colour blend. It was a 110% job though and had shallow gorges in it.

Deep scratches that have gone through the bumper and have made a hole in it.

I totally agree just get it resprayed. I know you want it 100% perfect but with a good panel shop along with a small percentage of cost as apposed to a new one im sure you will still be satisfied.

Get it resprayed. Even if your uncle charge you the same as other smash repairer, you know your uncle will doing a top quality job for you.
