Hey guys

just wondering has anyone had experiences with these, in particular for a dc2?
just looking for opinions and how people find the use of these for street. for my purposes i would only be using it for daily driving.. so no tracking..

reason is firstly upgrade handling and secondly i want it for asthetic purposes...

1. are these quite hard for the DD? would you get used to it.. syd rds are crap
2. looking to spend abt 1G.. not much more.. another option was spring + shock combo.. koni + sportlines. can anyone comment on a comparision?

yes i have searched and found a quite threads (thanks sik_vic), but they were limited in opinion.. so just looking for somemore :)

Cheers pplz..

I'm going for these on a DD and occasional track car.$1000,heaps of damper adjusting, soft for street and hard for track:
They are F10kg R6kg.

ive got a skunk2 pro-s coilover kit in my ed6. im starting to wish i forked out the little bit extra for the pro-c, you'll want the damper adjustments for the street. pro-s coilovers are fairly harsh, and you'll crap yourself going over some train tracks.

but aside from that, they perform fairly well in a track type environment.

ive got koni with eibach sportlines. i find it pretty good. actually i run it on full hard setting all the time. its not too bad actually haha. but if u put it on medium setting its quite compliant.

you know, too much damping adjustability isn't aways good. Less adjustments (but more effective) adjustability is superior - based on my experience from running HKS Hipermax Pro (36 ad) compared to now Fightex (12 ad). Top quality suspensions can have really hard spring rates but not necessarily be harsh (eg. The aforementioned HKS - 16/12kg - and now the Fightex)

Just a point to consider

Gotta get this right cause it's the key point for the track.

i had these in my EG and i hated them! when i installed them, the front 2 shocks were seized and they are bumpy as hell... when spending 1k on sussy u might awsell spend that lil extra for some damper adjustable ones

I would go for JDM goodies instead of US SKUNK2.

1. Japanese products have done better R&D and they got more experience for after market tuning!

2. US SKUNK2 not cheap at all.

Who says we dont have any expirience in aftermarket tuning? We do all our own R&D work and use our own products on our racecars.

You can say SKUNK2 is the number choice for Honda tuning in USA. But in Australia, not many ppl accept it as the price is not competitive compare to JDM goodies.

Personally, I love SKUNK2 Pro C coilover and I've seen the video comparison on official website. It is really well built and design.
Once have a look the price $2,350 AUD, I would go for HKS Hipermax III instead.

I think SKUNK2 marketing researchers need to re-regulate the price of their products and re-evaluate consumer behavior if they wanna maintain the market share in Honda aftermarket tuning industry.

check ebay, you can find skunk2 pro c coilovers for 1500-ish. at that price tho, i'd rather go up a step and get a buddy club unit.

But I would go for JDM coilovers anyway:wave:

its 1500 + 99 for shipping. its US dollars, and considering the oz currency right now, would probably be around 1700-1800AU.

at that price i'd go for anything that has an inverted shock design. i like the concept of an 800kg chassis pushing down a 15kg wheel more than a 15kg wheel pushing up an 800kg chassis, it performs better with an inverted shock design.

You gotta kidding mate.. $99 shipping from US to AU is no way.

thats how much it cost for shipping for my pro-s coilovers from tunerzimage on ebay. i dont think pro-c packaging is any heavier or larger, you just gotta look around for sellers with cheap prices.

No one will ship for you for $99 mate. coilovers are about 20kg. unless you use your private jet.

doesnt matter to me if you believe me or not, i already had mine shipped a while ago. i dont see why anyone else should have to pay more.
