aka how not get ripped off.
To start,
I purchased a muffler and was told it would cost me $150 to weld it on. Through intuition, I thought this was way too much to be paying or is it? What would be a suitable price to do this?

Yeah they said because the muffler was of an Xforce brand, they would have further trouble welding it on in comparison to say a mugen etc. They said i could take to another place and get problems like rattling.

this sounds too low. I'm after a realistic quote... unless your serious - tell me where!

well depends
if u want to keep ur axel back piping, they would have to modify it for the muffler to fit.
or make a new axel back with new hangers, collectors and piping, welding
100-150 sounds decent enough.

no one is forcing you to pay it.
Shop around...and get the best price YOU are happy with.
PS there will not be a "what price" thread.
