I asking you guys if you know if these things are safe to turbo (blow through). My car is a eg civic si 1.6L DOHC, with 220xxxkms. I can get all the shit i need for a good price, and thats why im highly considering it. We were only going to be running around 6-8psi. My engine it self is in top nick had no probelms, just want to blow off commowhores etc :).

Thank you for any help, if you have nothing constructive to say, say nothing at all.

just turbo it and see how long you go for. ur motor is fairly cheap if it needs to be replaced
dont bother building it...
start with a better base if your gonna go all out

dudes, theres nothing wrong with an engine with high kays, so long as its been maintained properly. there are a few cars with over 500,000km on their engines, and its still making the same amount of power it made from factory.

best bet would be to have a leakdown test done first, then decide.

So you only want to know if its safe to turbo? Generally the answer is 'yes', but there are lots of variables to consider.

I suggest that you do a lot more research than it sounds like you know. Theres lots of info on the site. Theres lots of learning to do.

Also 220k kms is also ok. Get the engine checked out and if all good then go for it. My Delsol B16A2 had 219k kms on it when I turbocharged it. It was perfectly fine.

Have a chat to us turbo guys on the cruise next weekend, noticed your down for comming. Theres pleanty of Turbo EG's running around in Brizzy these days.
