Knocking sounds from rear (glass bottle sounds)

hey guys, this is on a dc2r, all stock. mate was driving and had to do a sudden stop becoz of some loser heavy braking in the middle of hume hwy, anyway after this he drove off and started to hear knocking sounds from the rear.. around the boot and under the car area.. sounds like a GLASS bottle two actually knocking each other, but my mate stopped the car and checkout the boot and there was nothing there to create a sound like that and we looked on ozhonda later on to check to see if anyones got this problem, found one and looked at the rear sway bar but everyting is tightened.'
What else could be the problem?

Have you check the boot where the spare tyre is kept?? sometime when you break hard things could fly around and pop out of place....

yea i have.. everything is all intact in its position., no way anyting could move and make that sort of sound in the rear

check the bushes at the rear of the car.

had a similar issue,
goto the back of the car open the boot,
and start shaking the car with ur hands adn see if u locate it
you know teh lock thingy that keeps your spare tyre down?
make sure that thing is tight
that was my problem!
annoyed the hell outta me and i thought it aws my number plate for ages

does the noise increase in loudness/frequency depending on how fast he drives or when he brakes ?

just comes around wen it wants too.. so yea the sound is random =|
