Hey Guys,

Another problem has arose..

Just wondering if anyone out there has done a DC2R steering wheel swap (SRS Airbag) on their VtiR/GSi's and encountered any steering problems or such?

I've had a problem actually aligning the steering wheel straight as it always
seems off 1-2 degrees on either the left or right side.

Also what else has come about, the horn isnt working either.
I've checked the fuse and the hook that connects the steering wheel and the horn together but to no avail...

any feedback would be appreciated

cheers

Try this champ - http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69095 ,

if that does not fix it you might have damaged the clock spring.

I have a problem that due to heat the top of the steering wheel has lifted (behind the airbag)

Have removed the airbag and tried to press it back down but no luck.

No where to glue it; just seems like heat has warped the material.

Anybody had similar problem? Solutions?

You'll have to help yourself with the horn, get out your multimeter and figure it out!

As for the steering wheel alignment, you'll have to request it when you get a wheel alignment. You have infinite adjustments of the tie rods, but have only a set few angles that the steering wheel can be aligned in the splines. If it doesn't line up perfectly with just the splines then you'll have to adjust it at the tie rods.

thanks for your reply mate.

checking the horn out later tomorrow with the multi-meter but just double checking if anyone had similar problems.

as for the alignment, i will get one professionally done if unable to get it dead straight. ive always heard about dc2r steering wheels being a straight swap and found it odd how no ones come across he same problem?
