View Full Version : David Coulthard sucks

The FIA should ban or drop David Coulthard. The bloody idiot keeps crashing. Its his 5th or 6th crash this year that put everyone ahead or in front of him to lose places or David jhust convienently takes them out of the race too. I am sure many have already noticed this and he is really getting on my nerves.
For last season till this season, he is either having really bad luck or he is losing his touch since when Hakkinnen was driving with him.

Go do Monaco in the wet on a street car during a downpour at 100km/h. Then come back and see if you want to blame Coulthard again. Even Raikonnen took out Force India!

That was seriously bad luck. I really felt for Sutil.

Yeah, I think he was close to crying when he was in the pits with his team consoling him.... :(

yeah man dont diss coulthard.. F1 cars are not designed to drive in puddles of water with shallow grooved tyres (shoulda had the extreme wets on) with cold brakes and tyres at 100km/hr. they need grip and heat y0!
but yeah dayam sucks to be sutil.. i couldnt fkn believe my eyes when i saw raikonnen lose control out of the tunnel. fkn ultra bad luck... and its goddamn james allen! he always jinxes ppl. he even said it himself. i remember when webber was in a cosworth powered williams in monaco, he said like webber is doing very well and then webber DOES NOT get blue flags waved for him to lap the tail-enders.. and then his engine wiring or some shit burns out. IMO james allen should stfu

I dont think they needed extreme wets at all. The track was drying out, however because of the building/shadows/tunnel, there were sections that still had water pooling. It seems to me if anything Raikonnen was coming out of the tunnel a bit to quick (it would have been fine if the track were dry), hit a little of the wet stuff and just locked it all up.

David sucks compared to the rest of the driver in F1...Not me. GOD...Not only yesterday, keep a look out for the rest of this season. You will get what i mean.
N poor force india, my heart skipped a beat when kimi hit his rear. They officially made a complain to the F1 office after the race against kimi....dont think it'll work though.

oh i think wets was justified at one point. heidfeld made up many spots but Alonso was just all over him with the extreme wets. looks like alonso was in a diff formulae.. until he got impatient and nosedived into heidfeld. stupid mistake from someone who should have known better! almost took off webber's front wing aswell!!

^ yea, that was definitely a brash move
Great race though, i cant even imagine driving that course at those speeds with little grip, 750hp and no traction control. It was funny hearing the cars going up the hill with no traction in high gears haha.
Incredible driving by the field
Definitely feel for Sutil. When kimi came out of the tunnel after the restart and started to swerve, you could see what was going to happen :(

Force India's reaction though has put a damper on the great drive Sutil had. It was a simple racing incident in unpredictable conditions. There should be no penalties for Kimi.

Ban for crashing? Good one genius...
You reckon they should ban the F1 cars that weren't reliable or that sucked? Then half the teams during the 90s should've been banned too, they had drivers that crashed, cars that blew up, etc etc...

I still wonder if he was coming to fast out of the tunnel for the conditions?!
Thoughts?

Not really. It seemed to me that he came out fo the tunnel at the same speed as Sutil. He didn't ram into Sutil because of being unable to brake in time. He lost control of the rear during braking, which would mean either weight transfer to the front on a downhill slope causing the rear to come loose, or a a wet patch on the road.

That braking zone is VERY bumpy and not very straight as well just after the tunnel... it wouldn't be hard to unsettle the car on a damp track...

awesome race!~ i skipped uni next morning cus of it.. well worth it :P
but yea, you see kimi brake early and the track is darker (ie wet) where he brakes which caused him to lock up
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSK4kb8He_8
i loved the left and right reflex trying to counter the car..
i thought it was good.. i was thinking.. be good if kimi smashed suttil, but na that wont happen... few laps later.. :)
coulthard has just taken webbers luck.. probably pushing too hard now he feels under pressure.. might be his last season and webber is showing him up.
also with that theory.. more people hit the wall or each other than those that didnt

Surprisingly, Alex Yoong is doing pretty well in A1GP. And in that category, the cars are all on an equal playing field!

There is a difference in your comparison. When Alex Yoong was in F1, he was in one of the shittiest teams. They were so shitty and desperate for money that they took the sponsorship in exchange for letting Alex Yoong drive. A jump from kart to F1 was a very big step for him. What other team would stoop that low for $$$?

Basically thats how it is with the smaller teams though... money makes the f1 world go round... :)
People have still made mountains out of molehills in teams such as the ex-minardi though. Alex Yoong was not ready for f1 at the time no doubt, but other people such as Alonso and Webber have made great careers out of their humble beginnings. Even when they were with the team...

I'd have to disagree, I think he is finally starting to "shine" (maybe due to luck) but he is bettering his team mate at the moment.

Webber is finally stepping up to the plate this year. I think he has finally realised to get good results you have to finish and not push the car too hard. You dont necessarily need to win races

Yes he did in the past however how many DNF has he had this season due to engine failure?
RICER23Q
04-06-2008, 08:36 AM
Engine failure is not necessarily due to the driving style though, in more cases it's due to the manufacturing of the motor by the team. It's pretty hard to over-rev/mis-shift in a f1 car these days...
