gearbox rebuilds means taking gearbox apart and replacing parts and putting back together...correct??
if i have a b16a box.. take it apart and replace with b18cr 4.7fd w lsd...
is it still considered a rebuild...?
just askin so i kno wen i go ask for quotes...

the labour involved in intalliung a new FD is almost the same as "rebuilding" a gearbox

so the prices wont differ
btw, a oem b18cr 4.7FD wont fit into your b16a box

your half there.

changing the final drive means the gearbox is apart. but just changing the final drive doesnt count. time must be taken to measure and set the syncros, preloads ect. its not just a matter of changing stuff.
