View Full Version : Anyone put xenons into their standard Euro
So i noticed that that standard Euro comes with projector headlights. Ive put xenons into my other car with projector headlights and its amazing
did a search but couldnt find anything under the accord section, has anyone else tried this. im thinking of doing it, especially since you can get HID kits for $250 or less now

It will never be as good as the actual HID TSX projector, I would do a retrofit if i were you.
The bowl shape lens etc are all different.
Of course when you compare it to halogen any hid kit will be better, but not when compared to an actual HId projector unit

HID kits for the Euro come with H1 bulbs, which are halogen optimised. If you want it done properly, get the headlights off the Euro Luxury, which come with proper D2S bulbs, which are optimised for Xenon/HID.

i've tried this...it works, just get a plug and play kit and is realli simple. wont be as good as lik aaronng and VTECACCORD said but yeah....will still make your car look hot.

i got my old HID from my old car i sold before which is also a h1 light bulb. there is 2 colours rite for the low beam?
the pink/red and the black one. both of them actually connect to the hid kit right? not sure why mine didnt work. it was working fine on my old car. could it be busted?
is there a DIY on here to install these kit?

yeah, both the red and black connect to the HID.

I know this sounds like crazt talk but i want HIDS in my standard wuro for performance not looks. In fact id rather not let others know ive done it.
I just want kick arse low beams for driving. Will a HID kit really be a boost over the halogens given they arent optimised for the headlight?

Try 3800K or 4300K HIDs then. But yeah, they are usually much brighter because the light spills everywhere. THey are also more efficient than halogens.

Hey Suntzu
In regards to performance vs looks with HIDs, while they do look great, the stock HIDs on the Luxury make driving at night soooo much easier. In fact, I struggle to drive anything else at night now. Without a doubt this is a performance mod rather than a cosmetic one.

Man, that would cost lots...
I'm thinking of going HID with my CU2. I can manually adjust the beam level from the drivers seat! :D

how about those GT hid for $199?
well i got mine installed into the standard euro 04 model. it seems quite good enough for me. I dont think its so much more worth it to get the luxury projectors.

You can get siemens kit for $300.
Siemens kit is not bad, however...
- The kit is debased and is not a 'Complete' Siemens Kit
- I believe the only Siemens part you get is the ballast. And I'm pretty sure its made in China, contracted by Siemens. therefore their able to jack up the prices.
- previously it stated 60% of parts are made in Germany.. what about the rest of the 40%?
- nothing is mentioned about the bulbs; quality, reliability, colour etc is unknown.. for all we know if can be the same cheap xenon bulbs sold separately in the seller's other listings..
- where is the picture of the box? why not show it? maybe its easily found in china?
- barely any information about the xenon kit.. just specifications.
- 1 year warranty
Siemens kit is $300-329 + inflated $29 shipping = $330
$330 partly made Siemens kit vs $235 full OEM Kaixen kit that was contracted by Philips?

i know this is slightly off subject... but i just installed 6000k replacement globes in my lux euro (stock is 4350-4700k)...
they look a sh*t load sexier when outside the car looking at it, and alot whiter/slight blue from the inside looking out...
light output has dropped slightly, so next time i do canberra->brisbane ill prob temp swap them back to stock... it only takes about 4mins to change both globes... very very easy...

It's easy when you have a luxury to change/upgrade globes.

Made in China? Made in Korea?
Your arguement seems pointless.

But that's ok. Hope you do well.

As a general rule(not always!!) goods that come out of Korea are of better quality than goods from China.

exactly, some of the factories in china now produce some good stuff...
BP solar used to make their solar panels in Australia, they're now made in China, but i cant tell the difference in them...
staying with the brand names is always good...

haha cheap? ok mate.. like i said go buy your Siemens kit.
as for everyone else thinking the same thing; I suggest doing some research on Kaixen's integrity and World prices before making comments like that.
And as for the Siemens kit, i was stating that there are made in china and cheap to produce.. so why are you paying $1-200 ontop of other kits if there is barely any info given?
Thank you, I am doing well in selling the kits.

it's the name.
same for example, when buying SONY your paying bullsh*t prices, compared to other brands.
but as liquidsound has said consumers would rather buy something that has a background statement of the company or product then something which doesn't.
