View Full Version : Something weird making my car shake at high speeds 80ks +

Ok just over the last week this weird problem has started with my car,
When i go over 80ks my steering wheel is shaking and it seems my dash is shaking too :S
Its quite weird...my dad reckosn a weight has been lost off my wheel or something?
any one know what else it could be...want to get it fixed asap...as im selling my car atm...

could be a simple wheel balance, maybe a split engine mount as well

oh yeah maby its a engine mount, I had a look the other day I think one needs replacing =(

open up ur bonnet and jsut give the car a few rev and u can tell if it is the engine mount or evn if your drivin and you hear knocks from the engine bay liek it wants to drop off

hey iv had that problem aswell, i found it was the wheel bearings that were shot n needed replacing

could also be the springs aswell.. get it checked out... springs could be gonkiess you neva know dude!! also wheel bearings, wheel allignment,

man i would go wit the wheel alignment first cheaper to do than you can go into engine mounts and springs pretty sure wheel alignment...

well he is trying to sell his car so he doesn't want to waste too much flogging it off to the next owner.
So get a torch and look for damaged mounts easy and costs you nothing to rule one option out.

is it maybe caused by cv joints aswell but obviously u can hear them aswell when there stuffed

instead of trial and error, take it to pedders let them diagnose the problem for a small fee or maybe evn free, you ll save money in the end. likley to be balance and alignment...

found out the problem...One of the front tyers had all bubbles in it inside of it...hit a pot hole and its created this crap apparently according to tyer place...
put some new hancooks ontoday at the tyer place and its driving great now =)
