to bling or not to bling

hey guys, just want your opinions here.

im getting my front end resprayed soon and i was thinking about getting the bonnet done in gloss black.


The rest of the car will be sherwood green.

Also, im thinking i might take of my chrome 17s and replace them with my stock wheels but before i do that i will get the stock rims painted in 2 pak to match the bonnet.

its just a thought.

What is your planned usage for the car? racing, cruizing??? Stocko black rims would look crappy to me, but lighter than chromies for racing around.

I vote for stock bonnet, but paint the stockers black and leave the centre caps off. I think it looks great!! I'm seriously considering painting mine black or gunmetal.

No point going for a black bonnet if you're going to paint it GLOSS!

dump it on ur standard or chromies!! make sure its low!
get the lowest springs u can get then put them on koni's on the lowest clip

ugh... makes it look like you couldn't afford to get your bonnet resprayed after an accident or something :p

And rims: don't get your stockies painted full black, get them painted charcoal. Full black makes them look completely inconspicuous - almost like steelies :D

Drop the chromies and get something gunmetal and light :) dont dump it though, a nice lower it u wanna do anything

thanks for your opinions guys, obviously i'll have to make a decision on the bonnet before it goes in to get the front end fixed. I think i might go green and those pics of the charcoal stockies make them look like some super light weight JDM race wheels hahaha.

Keep the bonnet green, gloss black would be too overwhelming. Those stock wheels painted looks awsome. Never seen one like that before. do it, DO IT.

yeah, I sprayed my rims flat black a while ago. It looks sweet. I think you should do it. I have a photo of it at home somewhere...ill try to find it.

spray ur bonnet pink...chuck your chromies in your freezer and spray your stockies yellow, and chuck them back onto your ride. You'll be amazed at how many gawks and looks you'll get come Friday Nite Cruises. ;)

Get them powdercoated or two-packed. It'll last a lot longer than if you just sprayed them with spray paint.
