does anyone know if ARC airbox's are illegal in NSW?

was told that it has an exposed panel so it's a defect.

yep... theres a specific ADR rule regarding airbox enclosures that applies nationally.

such an item is classified as "Track use Only" unless (dodgy) engineered

Mate, everything aftermarket is illegal and defectable.

I got defected for a Mugen intake (enclosed filter).

So to answer your question from a police point of view... yes it is illegal, until it gets engineered.

yea i heard those stories before, i guess what i should be really asking is can i get it passed by the AIS?

get the original airbox for your car.. then take it to AUVIS so the defects can be cleared dude

yea.. the car is a nissan cefiro.. aren't many standard boxes lying around..

Mount any stock air box. Try even a DC2R airbox, with stock filter... and ghetto fit it.
