To cut a long story short i got defected for a steering wheel smaller than 350mm in diameter and am after a new wheel from the honda familia for its stock look but its race appeal and feel. I want a sporty wheel like that of a dc2r etc but want to know what wheels are able to be swapped into my car and what is needed? Where would i purchase this wheel and how much would it cost? My wheel at the moment is a momo with a boss kit to suit and i have no stock steering wheel or parts.

why don't u go with JDM DC2R non airbag wheel or MoMo race with ITR horn button. they look sweet.

if u have non airbag : jdm dc2r 96spec steering wheel.
if u have airbags : audm dc2r steering wheel
it is illegal to replace an airbag steering wheel with a non airbag one
if u get these dc2r steering wheels with standard boss they will be straight fit..
imho jdm dc2r steering wheel feels n looks

I've got a Momo Racer 350mm

Feels great, you just need to buy a EG boss kit

Na not if there the right size.. or bigger

Mine passed engineering

it does not have cushioning above the steering wheel horn then it is defected mod
most momo after market steering wheels is metal around that area
u need it so if u have a accident your head will not crack into half on the steel part of your steering wheel in a event of a accident
your engineers needs to read his mod book again
this law is in qld thou but i believe it would be the norm across the board

I see

That is understandable for safety.

Well my cars register with the RTA with my Momo Racer listed as one of the conditions that passed engineering.

In my old car i had replaced a non-airbag steering wheel with an autotechnica no padding what so ever got pulled over a few months after i changed it over, by a highway patrol car for a random breath test ( in a beach car park lol ) and he didnt say one thing about it. My lucky day i guess.

yeah it is defectable to have an unpadded wheel in a car that came with a padded wheel. so is having no airbag in a car that had an airbag.

yeah looking for an oem honda wheel. i have got a 320mm momo jet at the moment which i love and wouldn't get anyother wheel but am forced to!
