hey, just another problem with my car. Is there something i can do when my i find it difficult to lock in gear 2 at low revs. I clutch the exact same way i do for all other gears but the rest seems to lock in quite well. just gear 2 is giveing me problems. atm the best i can do to lock gear 2 in nicely is to rev around 5000- 6000. wtf!!? can i do anything about it or need new gear 2

Might not be the issue, it's a complete guess.
I copy / pasted this shit as it's late and I cbf writing it up.
"Modern gearboxes are constant mesh, i.e. all gears are always in mesh. Only one of these meshed pairs of gears is locked to the shaft on which it is mounted at any one time, while the others are allowed to rotate freely. Thus, it greatly reduces the skill required to shift gears."

if you can't understand that, i'm pretty sure it just spins the gear at a even rate..
so once you engage the clutch, select the gear, then let go of the clutch, the syncros spin that gear at the right speed so it clicks into place without causing too much drama..
I dunno if that's right, i can kinda explain it but I don't know the correct terms lol.
Pretty much if your syncro is stuffed, the gear will "crunch" in and will require some effort as the syncro isn't spinning the gear at the right RPM?
