lol relax buddy. i've had them for 2 days and i realize that it would be frustrating to other drivers. thats why unlike most ppl, im actually trying to fix the issue. and yes it is another solution. its a shield that sits under the bulb so it doesnt reflect off the bottom of the housing (since reflecting off the bottom of the housing is what causes the lighting to aim so high).
i didnt start this thread to argue about it anyway i just wanna fix the problem. so if you dont have any useful info bout glare shields then dont post

Isn't it simply by turning the adjusters? Vertical one so you can adjust it up and down?

Yes you can get shields. It reduces glare but wont fix it. They are made from aluminium and are vehicle / bulb type specific.
They have them on ebay but don't bother looking because they are made for LHD cars. Ours is RHD. If you put LHD shield in RHD headlights it will actually make it worst. Secondly the ebay shields assumes that you have d2s or d2r bulbs. These are required because the shields have a recess in them to take these bulb types. Modification may be required if you have the plug and play dodgy hi-low kits. But theres no point because they are LHD shields anyway.
DIY shield: Don't bother. Unless you have free access to a cnc lathe or milling machine. Forget about making your own.
Solution: Retro fit projectors.
yeah i heard bout retro-fit's but too expensive. i basically just want to find any way of lowering the beam to a near normal height so it doesn't look like im driving with my high-beam's on. my main issue is blinding other drivers..
here's an idea.. im gona DIY a shield then adjust my headlights to the lowest point. anyone else wanna try this can use the links im posting. i'll let you guys kno the results

^^ tell her to open her eyes..
i only have problem blinging drivers with aftermarket headlight (poorly made ebay pos!) with my stock, there has been no complain by anyone for the last 3 years..
thanks guys. yeah i lowered the headlight beam and its made a huge difference. there's still a bit of glare but i've had my friends drive past me and they've said it looks like a normal headlight beam now. actually i think its lowered too much. might not bother with the glare shield

MY HID's actually had 3 bolts in the front like a triangle, holding the reflector by 2 of the bolts...So there are 3 positions which you can have the reflector
The reflector as you know has an open side and a closed side and a cap that covers the top of the bulb.
Originally they were positioned having the open side facing down, which i thought would reflect the glare away from the upper horizon (less glare to oncoming traffic. But then i figured that because the bottom was open, the light just reflected down and then back up off the bottom of the headlight(hard to explain)
So then i just moved the reflector so open side was up. And the light gets reflected onto the top of the headlight casing and then back down onto the road.
Still have some glare but way improved over before.

Buy looking at the stock DC5 S headlights.. i would have guessed they were actually projectors... i mean its got "3" separate round housings doesnt it sorta?
