Hi all

just got an RM01A for my DC5R, now i'm looking at headers and high cat flow. Any recommendations?

i got a quote from Toda for their racing headers and cat mod, but i just justify paying that sort of price for it.

I'm looking to spend 800 for a header, maybe a few hundred for the cat mod...any ideas?

Thanks

I don't know how much 5Zigen headers are for DC5, but for DC2, they are within your price range.

bro.. from what i heard.. best is toda or ssr (from the states) and as for cat? get a metal cat.. best combo u can get..

after that.. ur rmo1 will be louder and + u will get reasonable gains..

and if u still got the money.. get kpro.. and tune it all up.. and u will have a sweet ride.. :D

Thanks for that mate, Toda is indeed up there in terms of power gains, but its also up there in terms of price...i cant justify 1.3k. Sure there are headers around the 800 mark that have good gains also?

how much are metal cats? and what brand do u recommend?

Toda AU use Exforce metal cats usually.

So i'm sure they'll do, however, there is always fitment issues.

Google, 5zigen, and ask them.

apart from toda and 5zigen, are there any other brands that anyone can recommend?

bro.. if i were u.. id rather just save and get somthing that will guaranteee u good gains and will last.. + its reccomended that u change ur engine mounts aswell.. and u will need a ep3 sway aswell.

dc5's aint cheap man.. just save and get the ideal stuff man.. dont cheap out on it.. somtimes u will end up spending more if somthing craks or somthing.. 800 for a header? for an extra 500 bux u can get a well known reliable product that u know for sure will work :D

trust me man... do it once and do it right..

:D but at the end of the day its up2 u..

if i were in ur position i wud save and get the toda headers, and metal cat (i dont know much but im sure xforce wud be alright to use) + ep3 sway + innovative mounts.

yes it is expensive but hey, being the car enthusiast never came cheap, so to save the headache of things breaking down and that, just save and go all out, otherwise just leave it stock :D

hehe :p

gl with it bro

if you decide to go with the toda headers, dont get the xforce metal cat as it is restrictive. go for a metal cat and mod it to fit

Nooo... as in Toda recommended my mate to use an Xforce metal cat. As Toda DC5 headers, delete the Cat altogether.

if you want the buddy club headers are supposed to be pretty good too.

We've tested TODA headers and I can tell you honestly, they are worth the money and that they give out very impressive gains. You won't be disappointed with them.

As for a decent flowing cat, look at Supercat's Metal Cat range, they flow very well and can withstand high temperature as opposed to a normal aftermarket ceremic cat from X Force or MagnaFlow etc etc....
