Hey All,
Anyone had this happen before and know why it would happen?
I had an amp and sub installed in my 3 month old Civic sport and since then the air cond doesnt work and the reverse lights dont work (plus reverse sensors). The climate control panel still lights up and I can adjust it, but it wont actually blow any air and the rear window de-mister doesnt work etc:thumbdwn:.
The guy checked it all out again and can't find any loose connections etc so I'm thinking maybe something with the car computer?
Thanks
Dave

All the fuses I can find in the manual are ok. I'm no expert so it's booked in at honda this week to get checked out. Just wondering if anyone else has had this sort of problem.

Did u try taking it back to the place that installed the audio & asking them what they did wrong & to promptly fix it?
This doesnt just happen to 3 month old hondas by itself, sounds like u got a problem around the ignition switch area or main underdash fusebox.
To hard to diagnose on the internet without knowing what was done.

make sure you get it in writing from the people that installed your gear that they pay for any charges incured from honda if it has something to do with what they did... i'd be spewing...

Well I had the car in at Honda for the past 2 days. They eventually traced the problem back to 3 wires that had been damaged when the 'expert' installer pushed the power cable through the firewall. They fixed it and now everything works :) YEY thanks :honda:!
They also found quite a few other things that had been broken during the install. Like scratches on the dash, seat clips broken, aerial plug broken, firewall grommet broken...
So... after not having a car for 3 days I now have a $500 bill from Honda that I get to chase up with the guy that installed the amp. Fun!
Oh well, I guess it's all working now so I can be happy about that!
