Aftermarket parts in japan

Hey...im going to japan in july sometime and wonder if anyone knows where i can get after market parts for the fd1 and how i would ship them back from there? i think i'll be in tokyo most of the time...and also has anyone heard of the place crystal or something? apparently they're a huge aftermarket parts store...any info would be good. thanks guys

what sort of parts are you after? as for crystal, their shop isnt that big, but they can order just about anything you want. crystal auto spares, located in chiba. its about 10-15min walk from the nearest station though. you could also try super autobacs in tokyo bay, closer to a train station but prices are abit higher.

mmm...i was looking at getting some coilovers or bodykits or something like that...do you reckon they will have them in store? so i don't have to order them coz im not going to be there for that long? thanks for that egads

unlikely. how long do you plan on staying in tokyo/japan? they order direct from the companies and if they have stock it shouldnt take long at all. but since you want coilovers/bodykits, they would need to be shipped over. best to speak with the blokes there and organise it with them. shipping methods/prices etc. give them a call if youre real keen.

do they speak english? lol...i'll be in japan for 2 weeks but maybe only a few days in tokyo coz i'll be moving around...

there was one bloke there that did somewhat ok. well which brands were you after, after factoring in shipping costs etc, it might be similar to what traders are offering here. either from this site or elsewhere like

thanks for your help and the sites egad...much appreciated...well i just looked at greenline.jp and compared to quotes i got here ....greenline is a lot cheaper (including shipping)... fd2r parts should fit fd1 right? like the body parts/coilovers...not engine parts coz different engine...true?

Hi mate... many fd2r parts should fit EXCEPT the front of the FD2R is wider than the FD1/2... so the FD2R front bumper for example won't fit on a FD1/2.

rear bumper as well ... the exhaust tip in fd2r is located a bit right than our fds. needs a custom exhaust if ur fitting it.
