Hi can anyone confirm that 1995 1999 Vti-R 1.6 Hatchback rear pad is 1163?
this is the number according to Atap

http://www.atap.com.au/atap/ATAPWEBData/PadProfilesSmall/GDB3174%20(small).jpg this is the link

But Bendix says its 1142. and that 1163 is for the gli's

cheers

for the VTi-R 1163 is not for that model. 1163 is for EG5s and EK CXI, Vti, etc.

EK4 have a slightly bigger disc n caliper, so you will need 1142.

trust Bendix

best taking a pad out and do a trace its outline on a piece of paper/cardboard as the bendix listing for Hondas are very hit and miss when it comes to the aust honda models listing as well as what goes to which car. On top of that a certain model honda often comes with 2 different types of calipers ie sumitomo or akenbono thus diff pads and more confusion.

once you have the pad outline you can safely compare to that published in pdf format of the pads listed on the Bendix au website.

i took out the pads and matched them up to the bendix and the atap site. i have DB1163, i'm pretty sure its a real EK4, nothing has been tampered with. the original owner bought new from a honda dealer.

wont worry about what the bendix listing says about what should come with your EK4.

the only thing bendix au it's always right about it's that its listing is always wrong!

ok i'm exaggerating here but you get the drift.
