Update!!! After 4 rounds of NSW supersprints

Just a little update since the first round we posted here. Here is pic's of the car that we using to compete in.

Some of you guys know we are running for the championship for Class 3B(1600cc-2000cc). If you want to know what the class requirement i would suggest you to read the NSW supersprints guidelines posted in the sticky in this sub forum Track/Drag racing.

Here are some results thru the 4 rounds. n.b Round 4 oran park was finished today and don't have the final times.

Round 1 - Oran Park GP 1.23.1 - 1st in Class 3B
Round 2 - Wakefield Park 1.11.1 - 2nd in Class 3B
Round 3 - Eastern Creek 1.53.6 - 3rd in Class 3B
Round 4 - Oran Park GP 1.22.1* (Broke the lap record held @ 1.22.7 in class 3B) 2nd Class 3B

After 4 rounds, I think we are still coming 1st in the championship for Class 3B. Closely behind 2nd Leo E240 toda/mfactory EG then can't remember the rest.

Throughout the rounds we tried to swap and change parts to gain the most of the setups. To all the rounds the car makes 100kw atw. This shows that power isn't everything in circuit racing, its all about suspension and chassis setup.

Whoever is deciding to take part should give it a go. Doesn't cost much. Price for each round are fairly cheap compared to other event organisers out there plus a bonus its held on Sunday's.

A car can have style and class and can go fast around a circuit once setup right.:)

Big thanks to Bel Garage for there tuning and engine services.

Will report back in the next few rounds where the championship gets closer to finishing.

Re handling vs power,

I have removed that thread as we have not fixed our problem with the motor. I can post up a graph if you like. I think "vtec fell off". Yeah its funny how it makes 100kw atw but lying down some times aye. Quads won't pick up top end its all mid range, and compared to the dyno sessions we did, it manage to pick up 3-5kw atw thru the midrange and drops off at a earlier rpm. The tuner is Dynodave, is that a problem?

Anywayz congrats to Leo and You, you guys have done well so far. Lets hope it continues on thru the session. Its our first season out there, still nooblets. Got told we need a one piece fire proof Racing Apparel for the next round :(

You should check out work coveralls, they're cheap and do the job.

There is no lack of committment from our tuner... he has put in a far amount of time and effort into the development of our engines. Its just unfortunate that we are suffering from this kind of problem that couldnt be rectify the night before the event.

There is nothing to hide from our engine bay.. if you want a dyno graph to prove that its making 100kw then i can post it up to please you guys...you could always come over and ask, i'll glady show the bay to you.

We dont hide our specs to people. There is no point to lie, you'll find out the truth sooner or later.

not a stock ITR engine - if my "stock" itr engine makes 116kw and your itr engine with these+quads makes only 100kw whats going on ? Ultimate midrange tune lol

We just slap the head on as that is what was lying around. Using stock cams with a ported head/quads/headers wasn't the smartest option. As said the motor made 98.x kw atw the night before the track day LOL. Midrange was compared to another ITR which made 122kw atw on that dyno was almost identical :o:o.
