seems like alot of people are posting about their cars/parts being stolen, should the mods consider creating a sub forum for this or even a sticky in the lounge? my 2c

I think that would be a great idea that way we can all keep an eye out for any cars that have vanished (much smarter move than a spotted thread)

a template could be made stating reg, colour, last known location, any special parts that may reappear.

I think this may be a good idea (im for it and all) but i think this issue should wait untill Wynode gets back so his opinion and word may be spoken to

We have discussed but I guess as time went by , nothing happened.

The issue with a sticky is simple. Multiple cars being stolen, multiple comments being made by multiple people on multiple sightings = great confusion.

The clearest way imo, would still be to have individual threads, as annoying as they are. OR we have a sticky which remains locked , however shows who owns the car and any sightings to be PM'ed direct to the owner. Only mods will be able to update this sticky to prevent clutter.

Still, work in progress.

It has been discussed and will come to fruition soon.

It will be a LOCKED forum. Sticky.

You , as the user will have to pm myself or another mod to post inside.

so a new section yeh?

like a whole new forum similar to the build threads section

but u can only make a thread after PMing teh bosses

ppl need to add comments, it cant be a locked sticky in the lounge or something

why do people need to add comments ? They can pm the poster simple enough. Keeps its clean.

^true that ben

i spose having a sticky is better because the thread starter wont miss anything important amidst all the "bl man" or "sydney is really a big shit hole now" lol

but the only disadvantage of having a sticky in the lounge is its not that obvious, it will get more hits if u could highlight it or something

a locked sticky is the best solution :)

im not spamming sir

i made a rebuttal against ur statement implying that therz no use to having a stolen sticky

those stolen threads get buried under spam in 2 minutes

guys keep your off topic spam to pm. This is site discussion and i will give out infractions.

The STOLEN thread will be a sticky , high chance locked too.

OR sticky and opened , and highly moderated.

In my opinion having a normal thread allowing people to comment and bump it up would gain more exposure. Not as many people check stickys.

Yep, making it sticky is stupid, i know i wont ever look in it. But, if someone makes a thread, i can see whats gone and plates without even going into it
