Took place at Oran Park GP on Sunday.

Oran Park was never my strongest track having only been there once when the car was powered by an honest B16A. The last run was about 9 months ago. Having missed round 1 meant that we never had further opportunities to familiarise ourselves with the circuit until the event.

Also, I was down with the flu, yep, surviving on Neurofen for the day, the Toda/MFactory Civic took out the Class Win and set a New Class Record for the NSW CAMS Supersprint Championships at Oran park GP.

Unfortunately, the rain came down just after 2 sessions, meant that we could not attempt further attacks on the circuit (Just as we were starting to get warm).

It was actually interesting in the wet condition... especially @ oran park where there is alot of ditches in the track and alot of wet patches...

Nice spin outs Leo!

Aarong, you're welcomed to take a ride with me and I can show you my lines. But with due respect, for your times in a Euro on street tyres, its pretty good already - Who know, if you're in my car you could be faster. ;)

You left too early man...Its a bit scary spinning coming out of the bridge isn't it.

My lines are still crap. On track, I feel that the tyres can't cope with the weight of the car, but when I watch my videos, I see many places where I can take better lines to reduce the load on the tyres. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-MP5VZdFNk

My B series doesn't sound no where near as angry as yours ... maybe next year I'll bring my car down to have a race at Oran Park and Wakefield :D

Other then that the HPR team are hopefully planning on coming down again very soon

i got a BIG trophy... but i won as a privateer, so that is all i really wanted - a trophy with 1ST PLACE on it...

these workshop backed teams seem to be taking it quite seriously :eek::eek: and they seem to be not racing for trophies, but BRAGGING RIGHTS

C'mon Dave, the posts with the real slagging were coming from sources not involved.
The guys involved are really only mucking around.:D
All in a bit of fun & healthy competition
What is good is the increased interest in circuit racing.

When are your bones going to grow back so you can come racing again?

tinkerbell
04-06-2008, 11:08 AM
well, some of the sources have their own agenda, granted,

but it why not just have one thread about the championship...

instead of this divisionary Team A versus Team B scenario... that is the source of the bickering - as soon as 'outsiders' smelt the sweet scent of a shitfight, it was all claws out.

maybe round five there is only 1 thread about the various entrants who competed and represented OZHONDA???

huh? how 'bout that?

hmm, i been told 3-6 months, but that was by someone who is unclear what a heavy duty pressure plate is...

I'm "racing" because I'm proving to myself I can do it. I didn't have much track experience until last year season.

The "Workshop" support is most welcomed and something I am grateful for, especially to Adrian from Toda (not forgetting Ashley as well!), not just because of the help in defraying the costs, but more importantly, his invaluable advise and guidance as we hit the events.

Tink, my posts have been more about how we have perform as a team and my description of events, feelings as I have felt, it was never about how we beat others because at the end of the day, everyone's out there doing their best, and that must be respected.

Well why wouldn't you ?

Joe Public is not going to take their car to a workshop that hasn't proven themselves and one of the best forms of that is competition results through motor sports, showing that the workshop knows more then just bolting on a few aftermarket parts.

But I'm in the other boat ...

I sold up a perfectly good car to build a track bitch and have a bucket-o-fun on the black top :D

PS. I don't think I'm that good a driver ... I've just played Forza alot :p
