b20 bottom end conversion prices

hey guys,

Just after some prices on b20 bottom end convesion and need a little bit of info aswell. Need to know what it involves. I've already got an ecu cold air intake typre r clutch and fly, 2.25inch exhuast with hi flow glass cat all madrel bent with two resinators and sports muffler. I have already got a b16a in the car. Also want to change rear drums to discs car has abs.

what do you want ? stock b20 ? pick up a block for 650
golden eagle vtec conversion kit 300
ARP Head studs
and then labour.

on the other hand, if you want a full bult bottom end, you gotta know what internals you wanna run.. prices all differ

been told about 3-4g's to do a proper job. but everyone charges diff... so that y im trying to find out.

RUn down on cost.

B20 block 700-1k (depending where to you it from)
APR rod bolts $100
New piston rings $100-150?
Hone $?
ITR water pump $185
new rod bearing $100?
Vtec conversion kit $400 *includes HG
New timing belt $85

Then on the labour side, engine out and in plus install current head to the block around 1.5-2k.

Thats a basic run down on cost. If can be cheap and just slap a b20 on the b16a head without changing anything and will cost about 2.5k-3k.

you dont need to reinforce the walls unless your running ridiculous power.

myth. If your gonna turbo the b20 then yes get it sleeve. For mild n/a setup its not needed. Once again comes down to combo and tune.

sorry to thread jack but curious, if it was just a b series vtec head on a b20 bottom with a good tune what sort of power figures atw or flywheel would it make?

totaly off the thread tittle how much would it be just port and polish the b16a2 and would it make a major diff? what piston can be dropped into instead of the standard ones
