yer that's heaps good., see I have the kit though,
just wondering if I can save by just getting different

to a new HID kit price.

Actually on ebay.. the bulbs alone are really cheap... your potentially paying just for the ballast... and if your ballast supports the wattage.. you might wanna upgrade to a bulb with a nicer colour too it as well =D like 8k-10k ^^

ok Question :

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=9156&d=1211089959

This is how the standard bulb of a prelude looks like.

http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36942

Now check out the shape of the H1 hid bulb.

Ive bought a kit b4 , tried to install it but the base of the H1 hid bulb is way to small and it cant even sit flat into the hole of the headlight and it cant be clipped down.

So wat is the solution ?

Pics of how ppl installed it would be great

theres a rubber grommit further down the wire... you gotta cut around the edge of it.. and pull it up to the globe... then... u just put that clip thing over the grommit and it holds it in place.... thats how i did mine!

hey,
with stock headlights, would you need anything other than http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90925 to get HIDs?

do it properly and get projectors. otherwise it's not worth the investment.

While 8000k-10000k may look nice, the actual light output (lumens) is very poor and you won't be able to see as well. Around 4300k colour is optimal for HID.

The nice colour flicker you see is not from the bulb, but because of the projectors.

Generally HID kits in reflector halogen housings are a bad idea, cos they glare too much and you end up losing light output cos the light is not projected properly onto the road and scatters.

projectors + hid = work
hid alone = fail!
